How to start a online fishing tackle business?

I have the basics like a website and i will get a pay-pal account but i don’t know how i can get products. Because if i just go to the store and got a lure then paid for shipping i figure i would loose about two dollars. I would also like to hear any other tips y’all have. Thanks

It takes a load of money to start up a business, especially something like this. The saying, “It takes money to make money” is very true in a situation like this.

You’re right, you would lose money if you didn’t mark the price up. People buy products in bulk and mark the price up to where they make a few bucks off of it. You obviously can’t buy a product, pay for shipping, and sell it at the same price you paid for it.

I don’t know much of anything about starting a business but common sense tells me now simply isn’t the time to attempt this. Even if you have several thousand dollars saved up for a business, a lot of your consumers don’t. The economy is in bad shape now and will probably get worse before any improvements happen. I’ve seen 4 new tackle stores come up in my hometown in the last 4 or so years. Long story short, only 1 still remains. Yes, online is probably a bit different but there are already so many online tackle sites that it’d be nearly impossible to get the business up and going in my opinion.
