Criss-cross method: (or ratio and proportion)
100 * x = 6 * 1224.95 or x = (6 * 1224.95) / 100 or (1224.95) * 6 / 100
So, for $1224.95 total tax paid is: 1224.95 * 6/100 = $73.50
a. sales Tax: $73.50
b. Total price including the tax: $1224.95 + $73.50 = $1298.45
