Reels

You should spend a bit more for your reel than your rod. Cheap reels usually break, lose drag, or seize faster than more expensive reels. The fact that your gonna be using this in saltwater makes it even MORE important to get a quality reel.

You may find a cheaper rod, but “generally” , the least you will want to spend (for a GOOD rod) would be around $35-$40. The lowest “grade” you would want to purchase would be IM-6. If the rod doesn’t have an IM rating be leery of purchasing it.
