my baby girl is 13 mths. When I found out that I was having a girl I was thrilled. I painted the walls pink and did her room in princesses. The closet was full of pink clothes and frilly dresses and more shoes than I have. We’ll my daughter hates it. She will not wear the dresses. She cries untill I take them off. She will not keep shoes or socks on. She pretty much hates clothes all togeather. She likes to eat dirt and hates a bath. She gets all dirty and I dont mind that I just want my girl to be a girl. She gets angry when I cut her nails or even brush her hair. I have started buying baby dolls because I am 36 weeks pregnant with my son. She throws them. My husband came home the other day with a fishing pole and is ready to take her fishing at 13 months. I am happy that he wants to do stuff with her but he will have a son in no time. Is this normal for kids or are my hopes of tea parties and barbies over?

Oh goodness! She is still a baby and playing in dirt is loads more fun than sitting at a stuffy tea party, isn’t it?! Let her have fun. When she is a tween you’ll be hating all the prissy grownup stuff she will be doing.
